![]() To meditate first thing every day, even if my life was upside down and my house was dripping chores everywhere. I finally heeded the Lord’s prodding to prioritize daily meditations in the Word. That was when I knew things had to change. How did I become this surly, irritable mother? How did I get here? I lashed out, and I spanked my innocent girl.Ī mountain of guilt haunted me over the next few days. Like this crazy person who could not be controlled, the next thing is me screaming. A few minutes I waste here, and I’ll miss my train, was all was going on in my head. Now, at this point, steam was pretty much coming out of my ears. That fateful day, in the middle of that busy morning, my oldest daughter - around age 6 or 7 at the time - flopped her hands and accidentally spilled her cup of milk onto the floor. I would have then rushed off to the train station, so I wouldn’t miss the train that took me to my school, the University of Oslo, Norway. Juggling to feed my four kids before I would hastily ship my oldest to school and my twins to kindergarten. It was one Autumn morning I scurried into the kitchen as I always did. One day, something happened that would change it all. The faster, however, my plates spun, the faster my impatience grew. ![]() I was often pressed for time, short on sleep, and walked constantly on a treadmill of chores. With an ongoing Master’s degree and four kids, including twin toddlers, and a baby, I grappled to keep all the plates spinning. ![]() My life was a galloping whirlwind from 2013 through 2016.
